Registration Info, Prices & Policies

Registration is Easy! Here are a few things you should know:

Devanadi isn’t your typical yoga studio. Instead we are a school offering courses or workshop series, as well as Continuing Education for yoga teachers, wellness practitioners, etc. for most of our offerings. Consistent attendance reinforces learning, and allows growth as a group with one teacher, as the teacher can take the students farther and deeper over time. This also develops consistency and discipline – both are needed according to the sages and yogic scriptures for success in yoga. We believe this is the best way to embody yoga. Although we encourage students to register for a full course, most instructors allow drop-ins. When possible, please register in advance.

Fall Term runs now – December 19, 2015
Winter Term starts January 4, 2016

(Limited classes the week of Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Year’s)

We hope you find online registration to be a convenient option. Please contact us if you experience any trouble. You must pay in full for the class or workshop at the time of registration unless otherwise noted and will receive an registration confirmation via email.

Registering Online vs Snail Mail

If you prefer to not use our online MindBody Online (MBO) system you mail fill out our Registration Form and mail in with your payment to:  Devanadi Yoga Office, 2711 W. 44th St. Minneapolis, MN 55410

Note that MBO uses many “filters” when sorting class data. Be sure to reset filters if you aren’t getting too much data. We’ll confirm registration via email. Generally payment is required to hold your spot in the class.

Yoga & Wellness Courses Make Up and Refund Policy

Missed Classes: We encourage students to make up classes that have been missed. Classes may be made up any time during the current term in any class that allows drop-ins. In lieu of making up the class yourself, you can bring a friend to your class. Check with your teacher if you are going to miss class. Often they will be able to accommodate your absence.

Refund Policy: No refunds. However, if your plans change, you may request account credit, or switch to another course, less a $25 administrative fee up to the start date of the course. No refunds or credits for failure to attend or failure to complete the workshop.

Other Refund/Cancellation Policies

Drop-In Classes: Once you purchase a Drop-In Class, no refunds are issued, but you may donate your unused classes to another person and notify the studio. If you have signed up online for a class on our Drop In Schedule you have the option of “early cancel” as long as do so. Please be courteous and early cancel as soon as you know you can’t attend class. As our system is set to sign in a limited number of students, full classes may not be able to sign in others while you are holding a potential spot. Pre-registered classes that are missed will NOT also be given back your account.

Workshops: These have their own cancellation policies often based on the teacher or nature of the workshop. Note that guest teacher workshops often have a stricter policy to help cover costs of travel, minimum, etc. If not noted, generally we need 48 hour notice of cancellation by phone or email. If you cancel with more than 48 hours notice, you will receive a refund within 2 weeks (less an administrative fee listed per workshop) or you may apply your payment towards studio credit towards another session, workshop, training or retail item(s). If you don’t show or cancel within 48 hours of a workshop, your payment is forfeited, and no studio credit will be given. No refunds or credits for failure to attend or failure to complete the workshop.

Trainings & Guests: These have their own cancellation policies often based on the teacher or nature of the training. See each individual training for its cancellation policy.

Class or Event Cancellation/Date Change Policy

Devanadi reserves the right to cancel or change the date of any class, workshop, or retreat. We will do our best to notify participants in a timely manner if this occurs. Only on very rare occasions do we have to close the studio due to inclement weather or a national holiday. If there is a lot of snow and it is dangerous driving on the roads, please first call the studio to see if we are holding class that day. We update the online class schedule when there are class changes or class cancellations.

Returned Check Policy

All returned checks are subject to a processing fee of $35. This fee along with the original amount of the check is due within seven business days of the official notification from Devanadi Yoga. The total is to be paid at the originally charged studio only by cash, credit card, money order, or certified bank check. A “hold” will be placed on the student’s account until acceptable payment has been received.

Credit Cards vs. Checks and Cash

We DO accept Visa, MC, Discover and American Express. However, if you are not using our online payment system, we prefer checks or cash as credit card fees are added costs to small businesses that most consumers don’t think about. We are committed to keeping class, workshop and training costs reasonable for students so that Yoga can really be for everybody. Please consider this when making your payment, as well as with other small businesses. Thank you!

Retail Boutique Returns

Returned retail clothing is accepted for exchange or credit only with your receipt (usually emailed to you) and item tag still attached within 7 days of purchase. Music, books, and DVD’s may only be returned with receipt if damaged within 7 days of purchase for exchange or credit only. Yoga mats may not be returned after they are opened or used. Retail items cannot be exchanged for Yoga Class Passes/Sessions and Class Passes/Sessions may not be exchanged for retail items.

Special Conditions & Injuries

Anyone with series medical conditions or injuries should consult a doctor prior to beginning a yoga practice. Devanadi Yoga specializes in not only strength and alignment but also a physically therapeutic practice. Students are encouraged to listen to your body and take the appropriate pose modifications. Yoga should not hurt!

Freezing/Temporary Holding or Extending Passes & Semester Session  Expiration Dates

Semester Session expiration date may be adjusted only for medical reasons. It is the student’s responsibility to notify the studio manager at the time of injury or illness. A statement of injury or illness must be documented in writing by a physician before any adjustment to the membership is made. Your Semester Session membership may not be extended to accommodate vacation/travel dates. No exceptions.
