Mentorship: CONFIDENCE Module

CEs: 25 hours (20 Contact Hours / 5 Non-Contact Hours of home practices, reading, etc)

Pre-requisite: Enrolled in or graduated from a 200hr Yoga Teacher Training program from ANY school. NON-Devanadi teacher are encouraged to enroll!

Dates: 5 Saturdays: Nov 11, Dec 2 & 9, 2017 + Jan 6 & 13, 2018
Time: 1-5pm (1-4pm on Jan 13) + 1 hour yoga private with Chanti
Investment per module: $300; can be paid in monthly installments of $100 with a deposit of $100
Drop Ins: No

Space is limited to 10 students per module



This module aims at cultivating the teacher thru their own personal practice, and developing your voice from your own wisdom of the practices.

Understanding and defining your role as a teacher
• Your daily Home Practice
• Developing a personal practice that informs, inspires your teaching
• Asking questions that come from your teaching experience
• Creating and keeping healthy boundaries

Observing the students in your class
• Observation “Lab”
• Assistance to the teacher, in class hands on learning
• Adjustment, corrections and teaching modalities from observation first

Developing your voice
• Speaking for experience rather than queues
• Confidence
• The use of creative insight for class theming & intentions Theming, class intentions and higher purpose
• Inspiring yourself

Variations, props, modifications and kramas
• Safety in the classroom
• How and when to use props

Sequencing in the classroom
• appropriate poses/ sequencing in the basic class (pranayama, meditation, asana)
• appropriate poses/ sequencing in all levels (pranayama, meditation, asana)

ONE-ON-ONE: For Module 1 only, each student will receive a 1 hour one-to-one session with Chanti to discuss personal practice. The student is responsible for scheduling the one-to-one session with Chanti within the 3 months of the mentorship program.
