Lisa was ordained by Goswami Kriyananda, the spiritual conceptor of The Temple of Kriya Yoga in 2009. She is a Pain Care Yoga Teacher and Mentor, Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT), and an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 500), as well as a Yoga Therapy and Yoga Education Mentor.

Yoga Trainings and Certifications Background
Lisa began teaching Yoga in the late 1990’s and has been a practicing Yoga Therapist since 2005. In 2009 Lisa was ordained Swami Swarupananda by the late Goswami Kriyananda of the Temple of Kriya Yoga in Chicago IL. Lisa is a faculty member and program mentor for the IAYT Accredited school Inner Peace Yoga Therapy, and she is the co-director for the IAYT Member School Pain Care U. Swamiji travels throughout the US teaching yoga therapy skills and techniques through the lens of pain care yoga and she remains forever rooted in Kriya Yoga which informs every aspect of her teaching. It was her guru’s call to action upon ordination which gave Swamiji her mission of dharma; to feed hungry hearts she is called to make Kriya Yoga accessible to all who are interested and sincere in learning these once secret techniques of esoteric yoga practices.
Lisa is married to the love of her life, Neil Pearson, and they live in beautiful Naramata, British Columbia, Canada.
