Teachers & Therapists

Natasha Cocchiarella

Natasha, aka Tasha, is Devanadi’s “Ground Control,” or General Manager, and handles the day-to-day tasks of running our yoga school and events. Tasha started working at Devanadi in Jan 2020, and is passionate about building community, and making yoga accessible to many, including veterans.

She graduated from both the 235hr & 340hr Teacher Training Programs from Devanadi and has over 1000 hours of practice. She uses the teachings of yoga to seek, practice, inspire, educate and guide on and off of the mat. She believes the cultivation and channeling of awareness has the power to evolve all living things towards a better understanding of self, other beings & nature.

Graduating from Penn State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Tasha uses many of the teachings and traditions of yoga [ayurveda, pranayama, asana, meditation, shat kriyas, systematic relaxation, tantric practices, energy healing]  to explore the mind and body through the lense of psychoanalysis, self-awareness, and actualization.

Yoga Trainings and Certifications Background

Natasha is a Minnesota native originally from Saint Paul, AND is a two-time Iraq war veteran! Prior to joining the Devanadi Team, she has spent the last five years living on the road and working in various sectors of the music festival & concert tour industry (think Taylor Swift and Beyonce) while spending winters hitting the slopes in Breckenridge, CO. For the last 13 years, her professional pursuits have graced her with the opportunity to enjoy her love for traveling the world and experiencing life in many different places, with amazing people!

Tasha has been practicing yoga for over 10 years and is a graduate of Devanadi’s 235hr Teacher Training Program. Her yoga journey started off as a supplement to her rigid militant style workouts in the military and quickly transpired into a practice to help not only recover her physical body, but also to improve mental health. Being a veteran, living on the road, and away from family takes a toll on the body. After returning from her second tour in Iraq, she was diagnosed with PTSD and Anxiety. She started to use her yoga practice to change the direction of thoughts and cultivate positivity.

Yoga has truly been the one constant in her life. As her practice deepened, she found that turning inward can answer the many questions “seekers” like her remain to find. Once she graduated from her 235hr TT program at Devanadi, she knew her life would never be the same. She knew she needed to use her fiery passion to shift her life from music to the mat! She’s so grateful for the opportunity to learn, work, and serve the Devanadi Sangha! “A big hug to Tanya and the rest of the Devanadi family for making me feel back at home!” ??
